Ross McKerchar

Ross McKerchar is the Chief Information Security Officer at Sophos. Since joining the company in 2007, he has established, scaled and matured Sophos' cybersecurity programme, helping to protect the organisation's products, infrastructure and services. As part of the wider Sophos X-Ops group, Ross also leads a Threat Intelligence research team responsible for communicating emerging cybersecurity threats, trends and practical defences to the public. His leadership is grounded in deep expertise, authenticity and transparency, supporting the team's core goal of helping Sophos become the most trusted brand in cybersecurity. Ross holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh. Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his young family and travelling for rock climbing.
